When it comes to AFS Belgium Flanders, the Hendrickx family is a name that stands out.

Bart participated in an exchange program to the US, which sparked a love for AFS in him and his wife, Lut. They have been volunteering for over 30 years, during which time they have hosted multiple times and helped dozens of participants in their volunteer chapter. It comes as no surprise that their kids, Tobias and Aiden, participated in an AFS program and immediately became volunteers as well.

The Hendrickx family is an embodiment of the AFS mission of fostering intercultural learning and global citizenship. Their contributions have been crucial to the growth and success of AFS Belgium Flanders. Their willingness to dedicate their time, energy, and resources to AFS is a testament to their passion for creating a better world through cultural exchange.
