The AFS Volunteer Awards recognize the amazing work our volunteers do every day to expand our mission.

Volunteers can be nominated for the Galatti Award, the Peggy and Art Howe Award, the AFS Award for Young Volunteers, and the Community Impact Award for Standout Local Chapters.

Anyone can submit a nomination and all nominees will be reviewed and vetted by AFS Partner Organizations.

Nominations will close on Thursday, October 17, 2024.

WHO CAN BE NOMINATED & WHICH AWARDS WILL BE PRESENTED?

  • 🏅Galatti Award: Honoring AFS Volunteers whose commitment, dedication, and exceptional journey with the organization have advanced the mission and goals of AFS. Nominees must have dedicated at least 15 years of service to the organization. Submit your nomination.
  • 🏅Peggy and Art Howe Award: This award honors the outstanding service of AFS volunteer families. Submit your nomination.
  • 🏅AFS Award for Young Volunteers: A recognition for outstanding young AFS volunteers whose creative ideas have made a difference and created an impact in AFS. Nominees must be 30 years old or younger. Submit your nomination.
  • 🏅AFS Community Impact Award: Celebrating the incredible work local chapters do every day to expand intercultural education in their communities. Submit your nomination.
