50 scholarships are now available for AFS Global STEM Academy alumni to attend the 2023 Youth Assembly, taking place this August in New York City. The Youth Assembly brings together students, young professionals, and changemakers between the ages of 18 to 32 from over 100 countries worldwide. The Youth Assembly is an opportunity for these young leaders to:

  • Connect with like-minded peers, trailblazers, and influencers,
  • Develop global competence and critical skills, and
  • Transform their vision for a better future into action.

The scholarships are sponsored by bp, a global integrated energy company, which has funded full scholarships for AFS in STEM education for over a decade. In 2022, bp and AFS announced the new five-year AFS Global STEM Changemakers Initiative which aims to provide 5,000 young people worldwide with immersive learning experiences through STEM, global competence, and sustainability-focused intercultural exchange programs.

The Youth Assembly scholarships are the latest addition to this successful partnership. These scholarships will support the full participation of the AFS alumni in this incredible professional development experience, providing them with continued learning and growth opportunities.

Deadline to apply is May 15. Scholarship winners will be announced by June 2. Apply now.
