AFS Intercultural Programs is proud to appoint eight outstanding young leaders to serve on the Youth Assembly Advisory Council, representing youth voices from their respective regions at the global stage.

These young leaders are committed to sustainable development in their communities and the world at large. The Council will advise the Youth Assembly organizing team on the planning of the conference, including program development and agenda setting as well as recommendations on engaging youth in action and impact.

Meet the Council members at the upcoming webinar: Setting the 28th Youth Assembly Agenda with Insights from the New Youth Advisory Council, held on November 14, 2022 at 8 am EST. Hear from youth around the world about their global and local priorities as we discuss the theme for next year. The next, 28th Session of Youth Assembly will take place on August 11-13, 2023 in New York City. This event is an initiative of AFS Intercultural Programs, a leading international education not-for-profit organization that has been advancing intercultural understanding for 105 years. 

Since its launch in 2004, the Youth Assembly has been one of the foremost global gatherings of young leaders, social entrepreneurs, activists, and champions of sustainable development. At the Assembly, young people have access to tools, knowledge, and skills to create action oriented solutions that help achieve the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The annual conference brings together more than 700 dynamic young people ages 18-32, from more than 100 countries.
