Position: Consultant, Facilitator Coordination and Training – Full-time, Remote
Reporting to: Director of Learning & Development
Member of: Organizational Development and Programs teams

Position Summary

AFS International has a robust portfolio of educational programs for learners of all ages. As these programs grow and reach more participants around the world, there’s a need to scale the facilitation of these programs, and create efficient systems that support facilitators. This role will establish and implement streamlined processes for facilitator recruitment, training, and support. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Create a centralized database of AFS Facilitators, ensuring the database stays up-to-date with important Facilitator information 
  • Own administration of Zoom accounts and the Learning Management System (LMS), including troubleshooting, resolution of tech issues, and Facilitator enrollment.
  • Find the most efficient and effective way to schedule synchronous sessions for digital programs across many time zones, ensuring successful implementation of this process
  • Establish and maintain relationships with individuals across departments who implement different kinds of digital education programs in AFS international
  • Recruit participants to participate in facilitation certification program
  • Field program and facilitation inquiries from AFS Network organizations, and redirect inquires to program responsible 

Potentially, over time:

  • Assist with standardizing and creating efficiencies for the onboarding and training process
  • Help implement a Facilitator community management strategy, posting program updates and engaging training content in internal and external social media groups
  • Work with teammates to create and implement continuous learning and professional development opportunities for the Facilitators, including but not limited to webinar series, communities of practice, etc.

Qualifications – you are:

  • Someone who loves (and can’t get enough of) intercultural learning, global competence, social impact and training. You’re interculturally sensitive and aware. 
  • Extremely organized and detail-oriented. A systems thinker. You don’t like it when things fall through the cracks. 
  • Tech savvy. You’re a fast learner when it comes to different technologies. Ideally you have experience with Google Suite applications and Learning Management Systems. Salesforce experience is a plus. 
  • Skilled at facilitating/training multimodal educational programs for audiences of all ages.
  • Patient and not scared of ambiguity. A collaborative teammate, with a good sense of humor.
  • Solutions-oriented. You’re a creative problem solver who isn’t afraid to find workarounds.
  • Excited about working on a global team.
  • Comfortable writing and speaking in English and can demonstrate your mastery of the language. Other languages, especially Spanish, are a plus.
  • Undergraduate degree (or equivalent experience) required
