AFS alumni, friends, supporters and staff gathered at Old Westbury Gardens to celebrate AFS and Long Island’s volunteer spirit, and the families–the Whitneys, Fricks, Vanderbilts, and others–who supported AFS volunteer ambulance drivers during World War I and continue their support of international education today.
