-- Who is responsible. AFS Intercultural Programs, Inc., 55 Broadway, Suite 1101, New York, NY 10006, USA ("AFS") is the controller. Your local AFS member organization may act as a joint or separate controller, as described in the AFS Global Privacy Policy at http://afs.org/global-privacy-policy. Questions: [email protected], or your local AFS organization.
-- What we collect. For your membership we collect your name (and preferred name), email, phone, country of residence, preferred language and contact method, and your AFS involvement. Occupation, seniority, and industry are optional.
-- Why we use it. We use the core data to administer your membership in the AFS Global Alumni community. The optional activities below rely on your separate consent.
-- Sharing and international transfers. Your data may be shared across AFS and its global network of member organizations to support alumni engagement. This may involve transfers outside your country, including secure storage in the United States and Singapore; AFS takes appropriate steps to protect your data in accordance with applicable law, as described in the AFS Global Privacy Policy.
-- How long we keep it. We keep your data while you remain a member and for a reasonable period afterward, unless law requires longer; you can end your membership and request deletion at any time.
-- Your rights. You may access, correct, or delete your data, object to direct marketing, and withdraw any consent at any time (without affecting prior processing) via the unsubscribe link or [email protected]. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. Please read the full AFS Global Privacy Policy at http://afs.org/global-privacy-policy before joining.

Membership (Required)(Required)

I agree and I want to join the AFS Global Alumni Community.

I have read the AFS Global Privacy Policy at http://afs.org/global-privacy-policy and I want to create my membership in the AFS Global Alumni community. I understand AFS and its member organizations will process the data I provide to administer my membership. (This box confirms your membership request and your acknowledgment of the notice. It does not, by itself, sign you up for any of the optional activities below.)

Stay informed

Yes.

I want to receive information about AFS activities, including event invitations, community updates, and the AFS Intercultural Programs alumni newsletter, which may include communications from AFS and trusted third-party partners. I understand I can unsubscribe at any time.

Reconnect with fellow alumni.

Yes.

I'm open to being contacted by AFS Intercultural Programs to reconnect with other fellow alumni. (A future alumni directory — a private online "phone book" where members can share basic contact details and search for one another — is planned. We will ask for your separate, specific consent, and offer visibility controls, before including your details in it. Ticking the boxes above does not add you to that directory.)

If you are a minor

AFS does not seek personal information directly from children under 13. If you are a minor and your parent's or legal guardian's consent is required in your country, please do not submit this form until they have given permission. AFS may contact your parent or legal guardian (for example, by email) to confirm that consent and may decline or remove sign-ups where it cannot be verified.
