About the Role

We are looking for a highly organized, trend-savvy undergraduate to help build AFS’s new Global Content Engine. You won’t just be posting to social media; you will help create and manage a global supply chain of user-generated content (UGC) from students abroad and help local AFS offices turn that content into leads.
This is a hybrid creative/operational role. You must be comfortable managing complex file systems and spreadsheets, but also have the “eye” to spot which TikTok trend is about to blow up.

Key Responsibilities

1. The Content Librarian (40%)

  • Manage the Repository: Manage the central Google Drive library. Intake video and photo submissions from AFS offices and student ambassadors worldwide.
  • Quality Control: Review every submission to ensure the “Media Rights Release” form is on file.
  • Cataloging: Rename and tag files by context (e.g., Japan_SchoolLife_Video.mp4) so local marketing teams can easily search and use them.

2. The Performance Analyst (30%)

  • Track Ad Spend: Monitor the social media budget spending.. Log spend reports from local offices and ensure they are hitting their Cost Per Lead targets.
  • Reporting: Update the weekly lead dashboard and flag underperforming campaigns to your manager.

3. The Content Strategist (30%)

  • Trend Spotting: Analyze which social media posts are performing best.
  • Ambassador Briefing: Write and send the “Weekly Trend Alert” to our student ambassadors, giving them specific video prompts based on real data (e.g., “POV videos are up 20%—let’s make more of those!”).

Requirements

  • Core Skills: Highly structured, well-organized, up-to-date with the latest Tik-tok trends, and possessing excellent English communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Education: Current undergraduate student (Marketing, Communications, Business, or Visual Arts preferred).
  • Technical Proficiency (Mandatory): Expertise in Google Workspace (Drive, Sheets, Slides) is required.
  • Bonus Skills: Basic video editing skills (CapCut/Premiere Rush) are a plus.

What You’ll Learn

  • Global Brand Management: How to maintain brand consistency across different countries and cultures.
  • Performance Marketing: How to track ROI and Cost Per Lead in a real-world setting.
  • Asset Management: How to build and maintain a Digital Asset Management (DAM) system—a highly hireable skill in corporate marketing.
