About the Position

AFS offers intercultural mobility experiences that in great part take place in hosting communities with host families and host schools/organizations. AFS is seeking a Hosting Experience Engagement Coordinator (HEEC) who will work as a member of the Programs Team of AFS International. The HEEC will be responsible for working closely with our Network Organizations (NOs) in key actions aimed at complying with quality standards and enhancing the hosting experience. The vision we want to achieve is to have a surplus of host families who feel included, celebrated and recognized as members of the AFS community. We want to capture their impact stories and demonstrate how they are a part of the AFS impact.

Location

This is a full-time remote position. Candidates not based in the US are considered with possible verification of employment in their home countries or with the ability to work as a consultant.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and report on key indicators of hosting performance according to AFS quality standard generating reports on key benchmarks and goals
  • Develop and maintain a community with the network hosting operations stakeholders
  • Collaborate with other INT staff to meet needs of this community as it relates to other areas (lead management, marketing, volunteer development, school relations or other)
  • Conduct process reviews of hosting activities to identify pain points and opportunities for improvement from a customer perspective; monitor and support implementation
  • Collaborate with NOs to help define and encourage best practices across the Network
  • Support the re-envisioning of the online host family application 
  • Support the development of a global report on host families
  • Promote and train on key processes and digital products that serve these stakeholders with the goal of ensuring good knowledge management, adoption and engagement
  • Plan and coordinate actions to promote inclusiveness, diversity and access in the hosting experience.

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s Degree and/or equivalent career experience (3-5 years) in specialized expertise or related area.

COVID-19 Requirements

At AFS Intercultural Programs, the health and safety of our team is always a top priority. In accordance with state guidelines, AFS team members are no longer required to be fully vaccinated. However, AFS team members will be asked to adhere to testing protocol when traveling to the NYC office.
