The AFS Global Competence Certificate (GCC) Special Edition was a finalist for the PIEoneer of the Year Awards – a prestigious international recognition that celebrates innovation and achievement in international education.
Our Special Edition of the GCC provided thousands of students, whose study abroad programs were abruptly cut short by the COVID-19 pandemic, with ongoing support, learning, and community during the global pandemic. The students in the Special Edition GCC, continued their international experience online and made new connections across borders through the AFS GCC program. AFS was honored to receive this international recognition for our work with supporting students during the COVID-19 pandemic.
